In 2011, motivate | today, was launched with the focus of providing independent holistic financial life skills. The focus is providing in depth and insightful, life changing workshop based programs to employer groups, community organisations and schools.
The unique positioning of motivate | today is that the offer is independent. motivate | today is not affiliated to, nor supports, any banking, underwriting or advisory institutions. The aim is to empower, uplift and skill everyday people to take charge of their personal financial decision making and choices.
motivate | today does not constitute or replace financial advice in anyway. Attendees are urged to engage an independent suitably qualified financial planner certified by the Financial Services Board should they require further financial advice and assistance.
Workshops
There are four primary workshops;
my money matters an intensive four hour financial life skills workshop covering nine modules aimed at adult needs. Course content includes;
- personal attitudes and understanding of money
- money related life lessons
- understanding your money map of goals and objectives
- budgeting and cash flow management
- understanding debt and debt recovery plan
- accumulating wealth
- smart saving and smart shopping
- dealing with our children and family about money matter
- continuity of established financial discipline and habits
young money workshop program aimed at the high school leaving years suitable for Grades 11 and 12 and university level.
pocket money learning program aimed at Grades 7 and 8.
small change learning program aimed at the grades 1 – 3 level as an introduction into age relevant money teaching.
